SIGNS, SYMBOLS AND SYNCHRONICITY!
Fiona Rice. July 2009
Do you ever, in a moment of weakness cry “What is the meaning of all of this...”
Sometimes we have far more questions than we have answers. Other times, we have the answer but don't know what the question is!!
This is a common occurrence in these times of rapid energetic change and we sometimes feel like we are passengers on a run-away train without a driver.
What we could all do with is a “Guide Book to Life”
What we don't often realise is that there are answers around us all the time, if we would just take time to stop and be mindful.
We are talking here about the many clues that the universe offers us as part of our endless quest for answers.
Other times we really believe that we are on the right track, aiming to make our dreams come true, but occasionally we need reassurance or clarification that this is the case. Alternatively, we may need to make a few changes to our situation in order for the free flow of universal energy to permeate our being in order to move us forward.
The ancient civilisations held such signposts in very high regard.
They would plan their lives around the signs from the skies, (cloud patterns and movements of the stars, sun and moon); the signs in nature (animal movements and behaviour) and the signs from spirit (rainbows, abnormal weather conditions, death of a particular species of animal etc)
Large impact events in these people's lives have been determined by the use of reading the obvious hints given to them by their intuition and environment.
We too can become aware of such information if we tune in and really notice that which goes on around us.
- In particular, events that seem to happen out of context, places we arrive at, never having meant to go there originally (i.e. taking the wrong turning in the car).
- People whose conversations take an unexpected turn when we least expect it (what information are they trying to impart?)
- Animals that we come into contact with have special reasons for being there (all animals are a TOTEM, or representation of our spiritual being and have a message to share)
- Seemingly unconnected events or sightings that happen more than coincidence would explain, (even though there really is no such thing as coincidence!!)
- Events that happen more than once in a short space of time.
- Mistakes (again, no such thing really) that seem so obviously wrong after the event, but we still make them anyway!
- Road signs, signs on trucks or cars, adverts, covers on magazines in the news stands, they can all carry messages if we just pay attention.
- Music, a very powerful medium for containing and sending messages.
SYNCHRONICITY is a word that was suggested by the great Carl Jung (psychologist) to describe seemingly random, unconnected events that happen close together. When these events are viewed as a whole scenario as opposed to being separate, they convey a message to the person who experienced them. The trick is, of course, to recognise them as such.
When we feel out of control, it is our perception that becomes clouded. We lose the ability to see with clarity and observe the signs around us.
When this happens the best way to access the help we need is in meditation. A time when we can quieten the mind in order to allow the natural attribute of intuition to flourish without the everyday interruptions that we experience. Once the mind is more relaxed, we are able to pay attention to the signs of the universe.
Its all about being aware, all of the time. During meditation we can be open to many influences that give us the information we need, but its equally important to see the signs in everyday life.
A good point to remember... if you are getting really grumpy with the guy in front of you who is driving at 36KPH, he is probably keeping you safe from the high speed incident that is just about to happen around the next bend!!!
EVERYTHING HAS A REASON, THE UNIVERSE CHOREOGRAPHS IT SO!
